Liability Waiver & Release of Claims
I acknowledge that participating in pottery, ceramics, or other arts instruction and/or using the facilities and equipment at Clay Town Studio LLC involves inherent risks, including but not limited to risk of injury, illness, or property damage. On behalf of myself and, where applicable, my minor child or ward, I voluntarily choose to participate in these activities with full awareness of those risks.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in classes, open studio sessions, birthday parties, or any other activities or events offered by Clay Town Studio LLC, I hereby agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Clay Town Studio LLC, its owners, instructors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, losses, or liability arising out of or related to my participation (or that of my minor child or ward), including claims arising from the use of studio equipment, tools, kilns, clay materials, and facilities.
I agree to follow all posted studio rules and instructor guidance regarding the safe use of equipment and materials. I understand that Clay Town Studio LLC carries no responsibility for lost or stolen personal property, including damage or loss related to parked vehicles.
If the participant is a minor (under 18 years of age), a parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver on the participant’s behalf. The parent or guardian accepts full responsibility for the minor’s conduct and safety during all Clay Town Studio activities, and agrees to the terms of this waiver as if they applied to the parent or guardian By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understood this Liability Waiver, Release of Claims, and Refund Policy in its entirety, that I agree to its terms voluntarily and without inducement, and that I am 18 years of age or older (or, if signing on behalf of a minor, that I am the minor’s parent or legal guardian and have the authority to bind the minor to these terms).
II. Refund & Cancellation Policy
A. Classes & Workshop Series — Full refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made at least 7 days before the first session of a class series. Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the start date are not eligible for a refund but may be transferred to a future session at Clay Town Studio’s discretion. No refunds or credits will be issued after a class series has begun.
C. Birthday Parties — A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event. Cancellations made at least 14 days in advance will not be charged the remaining balance. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the event date will forfeit the full booking amount.
D. Studio-Initiated Cancellations — In the event Clay Town Studio must cancel a class, session, or event, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read and understood this Liability Waiver, Release of Claims, and Studio Policies in their entirety, and that you agree to their terms. If booking on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the minor’s parent or legal guardian and have the authority to bind the minor to these terms.
